Understanding Florida Licenses

What Is a Professional License and Why Do You Need One?

In Florida, you cannot legally perform beauty or health services without a professional license issued by the DBPR. This applies to facials, nail services, hair styling, medical assisting, and blood draw procedures.

A license proves you’ve completed the required training hours at an approved institution, passed your knowledge and practical exams, and met the state’s standards for safe, professional practice.

Psicosaludbelleza Academy is licensed by the DBPR and approved by the Florida Department of Education to offer all six license programs listed below.

What is the DBPR?

The Department of Business and Professional Regulation oversees professional licensing in Florida. They regulate who can practice in beauty, health, and other licensed professions.

What is the Board Exam?

After completing your training hours, you take a state exam that tests your knowledge and practical skills. Passing this exam is required to receive your license.

🌐 Study in English or Spanish

All programs are available with bilingual instruction. Theory, materials, and exams can be completed in your preferred language.
